Think it. log it.
Markdown-based notes, with project management surfaced as a view over the checkboxes you already wrote.
brainlog is built for people who want control over their data, not trade-offs.
Type **bold** and it becomes bold, inline — no split
preview pane, no source mode to switch out of.
The whole vocabulary of the app. No workspaces, no projects, no database to configure before you can write a sentence.
Write the same page with someone else at once, and share any page or section as a read-only link.
Pages are plain markdown at rest. Walk away with a zip of
.md files whenever you like.
Tasks, boards and due dates aren't separate things to manage — they're views over what you wrote. See how it works.

Copying the vault folder is a full backup. Local vaults work in the Linux and macOS builds today; the Windows build is cloud-only for now.

brainlog has a built-in MCP server, so Claude Code, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT and other MCP clients can create pages, write and edit notes, and work your task lists and boards — through the same markdown rewriters the app itself uses. It cannot delete anything: the toolbox exposes no delete, trash, revoke or remove operation of any kind.
